Rowan Oak was William Faulkner’s longtime home and is a great visit for the history lovers. There’s a local tradition of stopping by his grave at nearby St. Peter’s Cemetery to raise a glass & pour one out in his honor!
Founded by William Smith Neilson in 1839, Neilson’s has been part of Oxford life for nearly two centuries. It’s the oldest department store in the South and one of the oldest in the country.
