We have different opinions of when we met. Nick thinks we met at the Auburn - LSU football game in 2014 (War Eagle!). Kendall knows we met years before that in college since we had so many mutual friends and she always thought he was cute. But either way we started dating long distance that football season in 2014 and the rest is history!

Nick proposed on a random Thursday night on 12/6/18. Kendall was hoping it would happen by the end of the year, but was completely surprised that day! Nick knew she would be working until 7pm, so once he got off work he went to the house and got to work setting up hundreds of candles. Kendall called Nick when she was leaving work, so he knew she'd be home soon. He watched out the window and saw her pull into the garage. But then she didn't come in the house... he stood in his designated spot, waiting for 10 minutes wondering what was going on?! Meanwhile, Kendall was sitting in the garage on the phone with her Dad, talking about nothing in particular. Finally, once Kendall got off the phone, she opened the door to see the whole room lit with candles and Nick standing there dressed up. He referenced a quote from our favorite TV show, Friends, and then got down on one knee and asked the question. It was private and simple, but perfect and beautiful!
