We have our friends, Brittany and Sam, to thank for all of this. 2.5 years ago, on June 25th, 2016, we attended their wedding in New Hampshire. Alex was a friend of Sam's from college, where they both studied abroad in China. Kendall had met Brittany through their work at EY, when she was traveling to Cincinnati for a project. Unknown to Alex at the time, Kendall had asked Brittany to tell her which single men attending her wedding would be a good match. Brittany pulled up Alex on Facebook and told Kendall she'd seat them at the same table. At the wedding, Kendall made a pointed effort to wait at the bar until she saw Alex and his friends move towards the dining room. Kendall followed behind and sat herself next to Alex, who had dropped his name plate and gone to the bathroom. In the meantime, Kendall struck up a conversation with the woman sitting to her left. Alex came back to his seat and proceeded to interrupt the conversation by tapping her shoulder and asking "who are you?". We weren't off to the best start when he followed it up with "were you born in the 90s?" (Kendall's response: "if you want to know my age, just ask me") and questions about her cooking abilities and coffee consumption. But, as luck would have it, Alex was persistent and his moves on the dance floor and follow-up conversation had Kendall hooked. We quickly began texting and talking throughout the weeks following (much to Kendall's family's annoyance on their family Scandinavia trip). The rest, as they say, is history. 2.5 years, 1 cross-country move, 1 new puppy, and 1 surprise kitten later we're officially getting married!
