Our very first conversation Riley completely ignored Kendal... it's okay though because a few months later we would reconnect. We were at a party one night and ended up chatting about mutual connections which lead us to start talking for a few weeks before we finally had our first "date". We played catch on a nice night in February in the middle of campus where Kendal threw the most incredible spirals of her life and we hung out nearly all night. Riley made it official on April 3, 2022 when he FINALLY asked Kendal to be his girlfriend! Since then we've been to lots of country concerts, played tons of Nertz, and spent lots of time with our niece pups. :)

Despite Riley trying his best to surprise Kendal, a broken finger nail sorta ruined his intentions. A few days before the proposal Kendal had a finger nail incident where the entire thing was hanging on her finger by a thread. She had to decide if she should try to keep it on because she had her suspicions about the proposal or if she should tear it off completely. Riley said it must stay and even though Kendal's finger was throbbing with pain she was pumped because she knew she was about to have a ring on her finger! On July 6th we went out to breakfast and on our way back we stopped at Lake Wanahoo and walked to our sunset watching spot where Riley proposed! We headed back to Kendal's house where we got to celebrate with her family and a couple days later headed to Hooper to celebrate with Riley's family. Now we're on to wedding planning and excited to spend the day with all of you!
