Welcome to our beginning

We met by way of an amazing person named Chris Donahue. Chris (Victor's Best Man) and Victor have been close all throughout their time at UNC. I met Chris in the beginning of my sophomore year when we were placed on the same team of Resident Advisors for Parker Community and we were grouped with each other to be duty partners. As time passed, he mentioned to me how he thought I would like his friend, Victor, and how I should give him my number. I initially said no and I said no for two weeks! Chris finally convinced me to allow him to give Victor my number and one week later, we were going on our first date to Smoothie King on Franklin Street. The rest is history. -Kennedy

During Spring Break of my junior year and Victor's senior year, we decided to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. On the second night there, we attended the Captain's Ball for dinner where we were dressed to the nines! After we ate, Vic suggested that we should have our picture taken on the grand staircase. We got up, handed my phone to our waitress, and went to pose. Little did I know that Victor had already spoken to our waitress before hand and asked her to secretly record us after taking a few pictures. I remember placing my hand on Victor's chest for the pictures and feeling his heart race. I thought he was having an anxiety attack! I asked him if everything was okay and before I knew it, he was pulling a ring box out of his jacket pocket and getting down on one knee. I could barely hear what he was saying over my heart pounding in my ears! Without a doubt in my mind, I said "YES!" and we were engaged! We're both so excited to enter into this new chapter with each other and all of you.
