Is there a dress code?

Answer

Traditionally, the 30th wedding anniversary gift is PEARL. Please arrive to the festivities in your favorite pearl/white outfit. Keep in mind the ceremony will be outdoors.

The sooner you can confirm your attendance the better.

Are there accommodations for dietary restrictions?

Do I need a US Passport?

Answer

Yes! You will need a valid US Passport that does not expire for a full 6 months AFTER your return date back to the United States. Passports can take up to 4-5 months to be issued, please check the status of your passport sooner rather than later.

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

We do not have a registry, nor are gifts expected from anyone. Just come out and enjoy this special day with us!

Will it be rainy season?

Answer

Not at all! In July, Riviera Maya averages daily temperatures of ~86°F with significant humidity. Expect warm, balmy conditions with a subtropical climate, plenty of sunshine and an occasional afternoon rain shower.

Can I drink the tap water?

Answer

Yes, only at the resort! The Vidanta Resorts have their own water purification system-- the water may have a bit of a chemical taste, but it is 100% safe for brushing teeth and drinking. However, please remember we will be in Mexico, so drink cautiously.

Do I need travel insurance?

Answer

Travel insurance (TI) is optional, but recommended. Remember, TI generally protects travelers from financial losses, medical emergencies during a trip, trip cancellation/interruption, and baggage/personal item loss. Keep in mind TI is an additional cost.

Where can I get groceries?

Answer

The resort suites (not Master rooms) include kitchens, so for those who want to purchase groceries you have a few options! 1) There is a grocery store at the resort. 2) You can order delivery from the local grocery store or the Mexican Walmart. 3) Two additional delivery services are: https://www.rivieramayagroceries.com/ https://maya-cart.com/

Do I need to attend a timeshare presentation?

Answer

Riviera Maya does sell vacation ownership (also known as timeshares) but you are NOT required to attend any presentations. However if you are considering attending a presentation, feel free to speak with Ken and Trish about their experiences.
