Lakehouse Hotel and Golf Resort

We have arranged a room block and discount at the Lakehouse Hotel in San Marcos. When booking your room, please reference “Brody Schwartz Wedding”. We recommend booking your room as soon as possible, because space is limited. Please be advised that Check-In cannot be guaranteed any earlier than 3:00pm, and the ceremony begins at 4:00pm. The hotel has been recently renovated, the rooms are spacious, and there is plenty to do on the hotel property and the surrounding area.

Flight

San Diego CA

The best airport to fly into is San Diego International Airport. If you are lucky enough to leave from a city that flies into Carlsbad Airport, that is your best option. The airport is 35 miles from the hotel, and will take roughly 45 minutes without traffic. Please plan your flights accordingly.

Rental Car

There are tons of options when renting a car at the airport, and there are shuttles that you will take you directly to the rental car hub.

Travel Note

Taxi, Lyft, or Uber

If you decide to take a taxi or rideshare to the hotel, we highly recommend using Lyft or Uber. The fare for rideshare will vary between $50-$75, and a taxi will likely run you about $110. If you know someone else flying in for the weekend, maybe you can coordinate sharing a ride and splitting the cost.

Train

Coaster

Technically you can take a train from downtown to North County and transfer to San Marcos. However, we would not advise this option, as our train service is not on the level of the Bay Area, Chicago, or New York. Stick to cars in San Diego.
