Kaile & I first met on Easter Sunday in 2015. Naturally, I was in the office doing a little work because my family was 4 states away & I really didn't want to sit in my apartment all day. In walked Kaile with her best friend Brittany (they were there visiting their mutual friend & my coaching buddy - Tyle Hankins). I swiveled around in my chair to say hello & I was met with a half wave from both. While Kaile and Brittany shot the bull with Tyle, there I sat, not saying a word for about an hour. Fast forward 6 months or so, Kaile randomly reached out to me with some questions about her brother trying out for our baseball team. I thought to myself, "isn't this the girl who big-leagued me 6 months ago on Easter Sunday?!" A few weeks later Kaile & Brittany returned to hang out with Tyle & me at our apartment. Kaile was going to school at the University of Oklahoma at the time, but she returned to Ada a couple times a week to work her part-time job - but mainly to see me :). What started out as us all hanging out in a group would turn into Kaile & I spending more time together. I'll have to say, I first realized Kaile was a keeper when she came over one night when I was packing for a long recruiting trip. What started as me trying to fold & squeeze my clothes into my small duffle bag, ended in me relaxing on the couch eating some popcorn as Kaile precisely placed every piece of clothing neatly in my bag. I thought to myself, "Man, this girl is pretty cool! She brings me food, bakes me cookies & now she even packs my bag!" In all seriousness, God has blessed me with Kaile. She is a true woman of God, with a servant's heart. We will have dated for almost 5.5 years before we officially tie the knot & each day has been a blessing. For those of you who don't know Kaile, she is a selfless, strong, independent woman who has supported me in everything along the way. We are so excited that we get to share our special day with family & so many close friends.
