Ken & Jessie first met August 2016 through ballroom dance at Oakland University, but Ken was preparing to move to Europe while Jessie was focused on finishing undergrad. They reconnected several months later and had a perfect first date 21 February 2017 and the rest is history. They have been together through living in 3 different cities, a master's degree for Jessie, a stay for Ken in Georgia, and a pandemic.

Ken and Jessie love adventuring together to new places. They went to Washington DC in November 2021. While there at a sunset overlooking the Jefferson Memorial Ken got down on one knee and proposed. Jessie said yes and now they look forward to happily ever after together!
