City Park with beignets and coffee in hand is a must-see. Take your time to explore the beautiful grounds, and maybe even stroll through the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden (entry is free).
This Michelin Guide recognized spot has some of the best Po'Boys in the city. Lines wrap around the building for a reason, so we highly recommend getting there early. Try the James Brown for a New Orleans Surf-n-Turf experience, it is delicious!
Magazine Street is 6 miles long and lined with a variety of shops/eateries with something for everyone. Antique malls, pubs, fashion, you name it, Magazine Street has it. Some of our favorite spots include the Trashy Diva, Dirty Coast, The Channel, and Miss Shirley's Chinese Restaurant.
St. Louis Cathedral is one of the oldest cathedrals in continuous use in the US. You can find this historic landmark situated in the heart of the French Quarter. Jackson Square is located in close proximity and is a great place to hear live music and see local art. If you get hungry in this area and are looking for a quick bite, we recommend Verti Marte. This place is open 24 hours and serves up some of the best sandwiches in the city.
Frenchmen Street is infamous for having incredible jazz music. We recommend walking around and hearing the different jazz bands play. In addition, the art bazaar is open late and showcases some eclectic local artists. P.S. BCM is one of our favorite jazz spots.
