Children are certainly welcome, however, parent need to watch them! There are animals at the venue (it is a horse rescue after all), as well as a pond. For safety, please only bring the tiny humans if you promise to watch them. :)
The venue gives all proceeds from their events to a horse rescue and sanctuary next door. They also have ducks, geese, donkeys, goats, cats, and dogs. They are accommodating to visitors interacting with the animals, as many of them are available for adoption, including horses! One event, a child accidentally didn't secure a gate, and some goats got out. There were groomsmen in their formal attire chasing escaped goats through a field. Let's try not to experience this for ourselves. It sounds exhausting and sweaty.
There is a designated smoking area available to guests. It's quaint and cozy, located between the bar and the barn, where the reception is held. It is outdoors, so be attentive to weather and temperatures.
There is an adorable little bar area where we plan to have wine and cider available to guests. No hard alcohol is allowed whatsoever. You MUST bring your ID, or you run the risk of not being served. There are certain requirements we need to follow, and carding for alcoholic beverages is one of those requirements.
As this is a Halloween themed vow renewal, costumes are encouraged, but not required. There will also be last-minute solutions available to you, should you arrive costumeless and find yourself feeling under-dressed.
Nope! Not at all! However, if you feel so inclined we will have a donation station for the horse sanctuary. **hint**hint**nudge**nudge**
