We met at church one Sunday during a time when I was one of the only young adults in our parish something I often complained about. I had recently gone on a trip to Tennessee and missed church one Sunday, and when I returned for Bible study, I kept hearing about a young redheaded guy named Zach who had flown his plane out to see our priest. Naturally, I was very curious about who he was. Everyone was telling me about him because how much I wanted more young adults in the parish. Zach missed the next Sunday, but the following week we finally crossed paths at coffee hour. I was being loud and energetic as usual, while he stood quietly off to the side, sipping black coffee and not talking to anyone. So, of course, I walked right up and introduced myself. The first thing I said was, "You must be Zach! You are 20 and a pilot, right?" He was completely caught off guard, but we quickly started talking and ended up chatting for almost the entire time. Laughing and enjoying each other's company.
