The Botanical Gardens at Asheville is a ten-acre non-profit botanical garden located on UNC’s Asheville campus. There you’ll find the Crayton Trail (a half-mile loop around the Gardens), as well as several grassy meadows and creeks as well as a visitor center and gift shop.
French Broad Chocolate and the factory offers tours in North Asheville at their Riverside Drive factory. The chocolate factory tour includes education about the chocolate-making process, tour of the factory and a tasting experience. It’s free for kids under 6 and the admission price for children ages 7-12 is $8. Adult tickets are $12 each.
