Due to the environment we were in when we first met, Kelvin knew that he would not have approached even if he was interested because he felt it would be inappropriate. We had a short conversation, friendly hug, and parted ways. Later that evening, somehow my cousin got his number and said that he told me to text him. I texted him first and it was instant chemistry, and that one conversation led to hours of us being on the phone talking about everything and just getting to know one another. This was the beginning of our love story, when the "courting" as the old folks would call it started. We had our first date at the movies, we went to see a Marvel movie. After several dates and long conversations day and night, we saw our feelings for one another grow tremendously. Once we made the decision to live with one another, I think we both knew that we were the one for each other. On June 12, 2020, what started off as a regular Friday afternoon, my clever fiance decided to make that day one that I will live to cherish forever. We were getting ready to head to a cousin's birthday party and I was on the phone looking in the mirror making sure I was ready to go. As I turned around I was staring at the most handsome man on one knee with this beautiful ring in his hand asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. There were so many emotions running through me at that moment, from "omg this is not real", all the way to "wow my dress is going to be so bomb". I couldn't do anything but smile in disbelief and excitement all in one. Of course I said yes to the man of my dreams. Because of that moment, November 6, 2021 will mark the beginning to the rest of our lives. Throughout the 3 years we have been together our bond has grown in ways words cannot describe. God will always be the center of our relationship and with that we know our love story will never end and our love for one another will continue to grow stronger.
