Howdy! We're thrilled to have you join us. Austin is one of our favorite cities! We live in Dallas, Texas but make a trip to Austin at least once a year. It’s always a highlight, and we’re excited to share a few of our favorite spots in the area with you. Once again, we highly recommend renting a car. As you probably know, it’s Texas, things are spread out, and having a car is the most convenient way to get around and explore comfortably. Looking forward to a great time together!

If you're looking to add a little adventure to your trip, there are several unique caves and caverns near Austin worth exploring. Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown (45 minutes north) offers guided tours through one of Texas’s best-preserved underground spaces. Longhorn Cavern State Park in Burnet (about an hour west) features dramatic limestone formations and rich history. Closer to the venue, Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center near Dripping Springs includes a guided hike to a lush grotto and small cave. If you're up for a longer drive, Cave Without a Name in Boerne is another beautiful option, known for its natural acoustics and underground beauty. These are great choices for anyone wanting a scenic, off-the-beaten-path experience.

For guests looking to stay outside the city, we recommend exploring Dripping Springs where our wedding venue is located. It’s a relaxing Hill Country getaway just west of Austin, known for natural spots like Hamilton Pool Preserve and Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center. You’ll also find plenty of local charm with wineries, breweries, distilleries, and great food, including the famous Salt Lick BBQ and the shops along historic Mercer Street. It’s a perfect option if you’d prefer a quieter stay with plenty to explore nearby.
