We're getting Married !!!

On a picturesque Friday evening in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Ricardo believed he was going to a small dinner on the beach, at sunset, to celebrate and thank our friends for joining us on our birthday vacation. Of course, he fussed all the way to the beach because we were (INTENTIONALLY) late, not knowing what awaited him. Upon arriving to the beach, he noticed a beautifully decorated table for 9. As we walked up, a couple of our friends met us. He noticed they were dressed in purple shirts (just like us!) but he still had no clue! I convinced him to continue walking past the table so we could meet up with the rest of our party further down the beach. As we approached our friends, he noticed a display on the beach spelling out the question "MARRY ME?". His reaction was, "Oh look, somebody's getting married!" He still didn't get it. I grabbed his hand and led him to the display. The only thing he could say was "No, no, this is not for me!!! I'm about to pass out! Everyone laughed as I got down on one knee, only for Ricardo to yell "YES" before I could ask the question. Through tears and laughter, I was finally able to ask the question!!! The rest is history.
