How IT ALL STARTED...

It all started with a broken syrup dispenser. On September 2021, Kelvin was convinced by his Culvers manager to send out a dispenser to his local UPS Store. When Kelvin arrived at said UPS Store, that's where he would meet Gabriel. Gabriel was working behind the counter, helping customers and processing packages. The moment Kelvin walked in, he noticed Gabriel and immediately knew that Gabriel had to be the one to help him. Realizing Gabriel probably wouldn't be the employee assigned to help him, Kelvin let a few customers go ahead of him in line until, finally, Gabriel called him over. Kelvin planned for Gabriel to call him over but forgot he’d have to speak. As Kelvin, (shy as ever) approached the counter carrying a giant box, he turned completely red. Gabriel had to repeat himself twice before Kelvin could answer. Between the nervous smile, the quiet responses, and the inability to maintain eye contact, Gabriel had a pretty good feeling Kelvin might be interested. Nothing gets past Gabriel. After helping boxing up the packaged dispenser , there was a moment of quiet between them. A moment that felt like they had stepped into a pocket reality that belonged only to them. Gabriel handed him the receipt and asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" The perfect opportunity. And yet Kelvin froze. "Uh... no, thank you." Said Kelvin with sorrowful eyes. So they went their separate ways, and that was it. Gabriel went on lunch, called his oldest sister-Gabriella (Maid of Honor), and acknowledged the fact that this isn’t a movie. He even said something along the lines of, "I guess another one bites the dust." Or so he thought. Later that day, Gabriel's manager told him that someone had called asking for "the guy with black hair and the little blonde streak." She suggested he call the man back immediately. Gabriel was confused but felt that in his deepest parts of his heart it had to have been Kelvin. When he called, the phone rang 3 times before- Kelvin answers and admitted he regretted not saying anything at the UPS Store and then asked Gabriel out to dinner. But, Gabriel said no. Not because he wasn't interested, but because, "I barely know you, and I'm definitely not eating a meal in front of you." This broke the tension - they both laughed. So instead of dinner, they agreed to coffee. One date became another. Then another. And somehow, a broken syrup dispenser led them here. “Looking back, it's funny that our story began with something broken. At the time, it was just an inconvenience that needed to be fixed and shipped away. But now we can't help but wonder if it was a reminder that some of life's most beautiful moments arrive disguised as interruptions. If that dispenser had never broken, Kelvin would never have made that trip. If he had never made that trip, he would never have walked through those doors. And if he had never walked through those doors… we might never have met. What seemed broken ended up becoming the very thing that brought us together.”
