Twas the night before Christmas, we were all at Ma's house... (tried to attempt a poem but it didn't work out.) Anyway...Kelsy's family had all gathered at her grandparents to celebrate Christmas. At the end of gift opening, there was one last gift, hiding behind the couch. I got up and walked over to grab it, and peeked at Kelsy on my way. She looked so confused! I asked her to stand up because it was for her! Inside there was an ornament; it read, "First Christmas Engaged! Kelsy & Kyle, Christmas 2017." When she realized what was going on, she lost it. I pulled the ring out of my pocket and got on one knee. I had a little speech prepared to say to her, but I lost it as well. I could tell she was so surprised and the happiest woman in the world, and that made me cry too. All I could get out of my mouth was, "Will you marry me?" The most important line. She, of course, said Yes! We're both so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. #LawsonWedding2019
