In 1970 our grandparents, the Gullifords and the Haydens, became neighbors in Clinton, Connecticut. The Gullifords had two boys, Curtis (Trent's dad) and Dan. The Haydens had a boy and a girl, Lisa (my mom) and Arthur. The families became very close and even decided to start celebrating Thanksgiving together. Eventually, the Haydens moved to Massachusetts while the Gullifords stayed in Clinton, but the families still got together every Thanksgiving. Trent and I have known each other our whole lives. We became long distance friends when we were in middle school, keeping in touch through texting and facebook messaging. In high school, we started finding more and more reasons to visit each other, until we finally started dating June 26th, 2014. We continued our long distance relationship all through my college years and Trent's first few years in the Coast Guard. We cherished every moment we got to be with each other in person. After graduating college, I moved to Ohio to be with Trent. We then lived in Kentucky together and now, back to where it all started in Clinton, Connecticut. We got engaged February 21st, 2025 and are loving every moment of planning our life together. We can't wait for what the future has in store!
