Funny thing about our love story is that It didn’t suddenly happen over night. Believe it or not, we actually grew up in diapers together. We don’t remember any of it but our parents sure do have pictures to prove it! Our mothers were the best of friends, had us, and dreamt of a day where their two little ones would grow up and get married, just like in a movie. 20 something years later and they got what they wished for! Riley and I may have been close as babies, but growing up we didn’t know each other. We may have heard our moms talk about the other here and there but we never met officially. Our mothers grew apart, and years went by, Riley’s mother ran into my family and I out of the blue and insisted that I meet up with her son. The very next day I got a text from him and the rest is basically history.
Riley and I decided to take some time off from work and take a road trip to the west coast. We hit every place in between Texas and California. We saw beautiful places, and made beautiful memories together. One day, while in Los Angeles, we had some time to kill so we drove up the coastline until we found a private beach in Malibu. We walked barefoot on the beach, dipped our toes in the cold Pacific Ocean, and as I turned around Riley had his phone out facing towards me. I thought he was taking a picture of me while I was playing in the water. Boy I was wrong, and thankfully so!!! He got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. This was by far the best day of my life. I am so excited to be able to spend every single day with my best friend. The love we have for each other is so unconditional and we are so blessed to be able to have met one another. We are meant to be, we are soulmates and we are so excited for the next chapter in our lives to unfold.
