If flying, we recommend flying into Detroit, Grand Rapids, or Traverse City. Detroit is the furthest from Mackinac Island. If you're not driving your own vehicle, you'll need to rent a vehicle or take an Uber/Lyft to Star Line Ferry (801 S Huron Ave, Mackinaw City, MI 49701). Vehicles are not allowed on Island. Star Line Ferry have three day and overnight parking options. We encourage you to look at their websites prior to the event. Star Line will bring your luggage to the hotel that you're staying at. Once you arrive on the Island, you may either take a horse & buggy or take a short walk up to Mission Point. While at Mission Point, you can easily walk or take a buggy to the dock, bars, and food. Star Line Ferry service runs throughout the day and into the evening. Earliest ferry from Mackinaw City to the island is 7:30 am, the last ferry leaves for Mackinaw City from the island at 10:30 pm.
