Cole and I met each other at a bar called Streets in Downtown Sacramento. I was out with a group of my Rivercat work friends celebrating the fact that we had just survived a week of intense sales training, while Cole was out with a big group of his friends celebrating his 26th birthday. Yes. that's right... Cole and I met randomly at a bar on the night of his birthday. It definitely makes our first encounter very easy to remember :) I was playing darts with my friends, and he was playing darts with his. After a couple of flirty glances back and forth, Cole offered to buy me a drink. We walked up to the bar and he said "your call, what would you like?" and with no hesitation, I replied, "I'll take a shot of Makers Mark". I'm sure Cole was expecting me to order a cocktail or some sort of 'girly drink', but the first thing I thought of was a shot of Makers Mark...why? I have no idea, I actually prefer Jack, but I got his attention. From that moment on, Cole and I have been completely inseparable. We spent that night laughing and learning more about each other; and then we hung out the next night, and then again the night after that. Next thing I knew Cole and I were going to concerts every weekend together, we spent a weekend in Santa Cruz together for my birthday, we spent Thanksgiving together in Tahoe, I flew down to San Diego with Cole and his family to watch him and his brother run a half marathon. and the stories just go on and on. Meeting Cole felt like running into an old friend that you haven't seen in a long time. It was so easy and so effortless. Everything about me changed, in the best way possible, the night I met Cole. I wondered how in the world I lived on this earth for 9,437 days without him by my side. We are each others biggest supporters, greatest encouragers, and the best of friends. We are SO excited to get married & to start this new journey as husband and wife & we cannot wait to share all of these amazing memories with you all along the way!
