While both Kelsie and Clinton attended the School of Theatre and Dance at East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) they actually didn't have much interaction there. Although, Clinton does remember Kelsie being called out in class for having a big smile. They actually began getting to know one another when both had been booked for performing at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. Before Kelsie began rehearsals, during the day before his show, Clinton would show Kelsie around town and brought her to places like the Merry Go Round Museum, The Cove at Louie's, Kelly's Island, and took her to ride all of the coasters at the park. One day while driving around, Clinton decided to go rather quickly through some puddles, really amusing Kelsie in the process. (He thought she was adorable, and she really loved the puddles.) A few months later, they both found themselves living in Chicago. On January 17th, 2016 (after braving negative temperatures in downtown Chitown) at an underground tiki bar called Three Dots and a Dash, Clinton made things official by asking her to be his girlfriend. In the coming years they would support each other's performance endeavors, tackle long distance, adopt a sweet puppy named, Moonie, and begin living in Raleigh, NC. On July 4th, 2021 on a rooftop in Chicago, with a perfect view of the skyline, and fireworks going off all around the city, Clinton asked Kelsie to marry him and she said YES!
