We were on our way to South Dakota. We had just visited his grandparents in Sisseton. He took me to Nicollet Tower to show me the view from up top. When we got there he said ‘Race you to the top!’ I looked at him and said yeah right. He started running up the stairs and I started to make my way up the stairs after him. When I finally got to the top I went to the ledge to look over the side. Austin pulled me away from the side and that’s when I heard This Is It by Scotty McCreery playing and he got down on one knee. He started telling me how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend forever with me. To be honest I didn’t hear most of it because I was already crying and saying yes. After we hugged and both cried, I told him I thought he was joking and we both laughed. I rushed down to show his mom the ring and couldn’t stop smiling.
