Our outdoor ceremony will take place within a wooded chapel, just a few steps away from the paved trail. Directions: After parking at the Brookside Gardens visitor center, follow the paved loop to the right side of the park. From here, signs will guide you to an opening on the right, where you’ll find a very short woodland trail (1 minute walk off the paved path) into a clearing within the trees. The ground is flat, but please watch your step for roots and branches. It is approximately a 5 minute walk from the parking lot to the ceremony site. The park also provides golf cart transportation to the ceremony site to ensure accessibility. Signs will be posted and friends will be available to help guide guests to the ceremony site.
Yes! Free parking is available for the duration of the event at the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center. This parking lot offers the closest walk to our ceremony site and reception location. If all parking spots are filled, there are two overflow parking lots at the Brookside Gardens conservatory and at the nature center. Guests who do not wish to drive are welcome to utilize ride sharing services, which we’ve found typically arrive within 5-15 minutes in our area.
Per county regulations, pets and smoking are prohibited across all areas of the park. Please help us stay out of trouble :)
Cocktail hour appetizers, a buffet-style dinner with chicken/fish/vegetarian options, sides, cake, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Please let us know of any specific dietary needs and we will do our best to ensure they are met.
Wear what makes you comfortable and keeps you warm enough during the outdoor portion of our day (approximately 2 hours, weather permitting). Semi-formal and formal attire are welcome.
