Maid of Honor
From my birth on, I have been so lucky to have a strong, silly, and smart sister. Even when we were fighting as kids, we always took breaks to laugh together and now our bond is stronger than ever. Sarah just got married in July, and it has been a unique and fun experience to have our weddings so close together and get to be there for each other through it all. I'm incredibly excited to have her as my maid of honor!
Best Man
While Jeff and I got into our fair share of fights growing up, we had twice as many laughs; in fact, Jeff insists that he's the one who *taught* me to laugh (which would explain why our laughs are so similar). He also wanted to name me MacGyver and I'm still upset that it didn't pan out. As we've grown up we've only gotten closer, even as he's moved to the west side, and I am so honored to have him as my best man and my brother.
Bridesmaid
Karlin and I met when she moved to Spokane and she quickly became my best friend in the theater world. We have shared so many moments throughout our teen years and at times it felt as if we basically lived together. Her family is just like family to me and I couldn't imagine her not standing with me on this special day.
Groomsman
When I first encountered Jake, I was not a fan. All I knew was that he was that annoying guy in the clarinet section of our middle school band who always made them laugh and it drove me crazy. Now, he's been my best friend for almost 15 years. From our love of movies, to building haunted houses at Halloween, to traveling together, Jake has been one of the most positive and selfless guys I've ever met.
Bridesmaid
Mel has been an honorary member of our family since high school when everyone thought we were sisters anyways! Her artistic talent astounds me and she is just as incredible as the pictures she takes. Our family gatherings, especially my wedding, wouldn't feel right without her there.
Groomsman
Michael and I met when he moved a couple blocks away from me in the 4th grade and we've been friends ever since. The fact that he's still my friend is crazy to me because he knew me during The Dark Times--my incredibly awkward middle school years. Michael is about the most solid friend you could have and every time we hang out or talk, it feels like no time has passed. I have particularly fond memories of staying up late playing Mario Party and watching bad movies at his birthday parties--plus, his parties were on Valentine's Day which helped prevent bachelor loneliness.
Groomsman
I've known Brendan the shortest amount of time but we probably became friends the fastest. We were paired up as roommates by Whitworth's housing system and before we even met we knew we'd be great friends when we emailed each other before freshman year started. By far the sassiest friend I have, Brendan was the best college roommate I could have asked for. From the first day onward, we helped each other survive college and spent many nights staying up way too late coming up with the weirdest inside jokes I've ever shared with anyone.
