The Wedding Website of Kelsi Bennett and John Yokus
Question

I thought your wedding was May 16, 2020. Why does your website say November 14, 2020?

Answer

Given the circumstances with the coronavirus, we were unable to have our wedding on May 16. We were so blessed that our vendors and our venue allowed us to move the date. We want everyone to be and feel safe at our wedding. Our new wedding date is November 14, 2020!

Question

Is a mask required?

Answer

As of right now, Jacksonville is still under a mask mandate and social distancing. All churches require masks to be worn during masses. The Marriott, although can’t force you to wear a mask, will remind you about the mandate if it is still in place. Please bring a mask just in case.

Question

Will social distancing still be possible for the reception?

Answer

Yes, we are in a big enough ballroom where each table will be spaced out 6 feet apart from each other. If you are concerned about who you are sitting with, there is no seat assignments or table assignments (minus estate table and reserved family seating) so you get to choose where you sit.

Question

Will you livestream the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are happy to say our videography vendor will be providing a live stream for the ceremony.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

October 14, 2020 is when we need all RSVP's. Please let us know by this point via your response card on your invitation or via this website.

Question

How should I dress for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be in a Catholic Church and it will be a full mass. Sunday Best is highly recommended and modesty for the ceremony is greatly appreciated. The reception can be anything semi-formal to formal.

Question

How much is parking?

Answer

Self parking is free at the Sawgrass Marriott. They cannot do Valet parking due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus ones will be handled on a case by case basis due to count limit and the latest events with COVID-19. More than likely we can’t because of COVID-19 restrictions. Please contact Kelsi or John if you have any questions.

Question

What time should I be at the ceremony?

Answer

People can start arriving up to an hour before the ceremony. Once the ceremony has started at 2:00pm, the church doors will be closed.

Question

What time should I be at the reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour starts at 5pm outside the Champions Ballroom. The reception will start at 6pm. The doors to the Champions Ballroom should open at 5:50pm. Make your way in between 5:50-6:05pm. You can sit at any table that does not have a reserved sign. The bridal party announcement should start no later than 6:15pm. Until then, enjoy your cocktails and most importantly have a good time!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The Sawgrass Marriott offers gluten-free and dairy-free options. Please let Kelsi or John know if you have any food allergies so we can make sure meals will be ready for those with food allergies. The Sawgrass Marriott will label everything and what is in each dish and there is plenty to choose from so no worries!
