It all started in Dalton, GA during a training program we had for work. Until then, I had never really lived away from my family and friends - EVER. So I took a leap of faith, took the new job, and headed east for the training. We were stuck in Dalton for 3 whole months, and I knew I wanted to make it a trip to remember. On April 25, 2016, after nearly 3 months of being with Jason almost every single day, we were leaving the training program - I wasn't quite sure what would happen when we went back to our lives before the training Georgia. So I went back to California and we didn't see each other for about 3 weeks. Jason earned a sales territory in the San Fernando Valley and ended up being my dad's rep for Shaw Floors (Coincidence???). It really seemed too good to be true. While Jason was living in Burbank (my hometown), I earned a territory position in Fresno. We spent many months traveling back and forth. Jason ended up scoring a position in San Jose (his hometown) and decided to move back up to Northern California. Shortly after Jason moved to San Jose, we decided to move in together. 10 months after living together, He PROPOSED! I knew that God would lead me in the right direction and give me a man who loved me unconditionally. I am so blessed and thankful for the man I get to call my husband! We are so excited for the next chapter in our lives and can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you!!
Ocotber 22, 2018 - The day we got ENGAGED! In the weeks leading up to the proposal, Jason had been acting different. I don't know how to explain it, but he was just not himself. He always had been affectionate, but was even more so than normal. I really had no clue on anything that was going on, but I prayed and hoped that an engagement was in the near future. We arrived in Mexico on October 21st and I was so excited to be on vacation and spend time with Jason's family. But Jason was still acting weird and this time he was being so grumpy! He would get irritated at the smallest things - but I now know that it was nerves and stress around what he was about to do. On October 22nd, we went to our favorite restaurant in Loreto, La Picazon. It is right on the beach and looks out to the islands off of Loreto, in Baja California Sur. We were there with Jason's mom, step-dad, and step-brother. We sat down at the table and Jason asked me "Do you want to go take a walk on the beach?" I said "Sure" and off we went. I immediately knew something was going on because he had his hand in his pocket and was super nervous and shaky (I could tell). He then proceeded to say "So I hear that you and my mom keep talking about when we are going to get engaged....I know you are eager and I can't keep it in any longer, so I have a question for you...WILL YOU MARRY ME!!??" I burst in to tears, and couldn't believe that this was real life. That someone wanted to love me and spend the rest of his life with ME. Ofcourse, after 5 minutes of freaking out, I said YES and as I turned around, everyone in the restaurant was cheering and taking pictures. We walked back to our table and they brought us a bottle of champagne and glasses. It truly was an amazing evening! We felt so loved and cherished that entire week, we truly had the best vacation yet! Thanks again, Gretchen and Rick!!!
