Our story started in San Antonio, Texas in 2019 — proof that sometimes life puts you exactly where you’re meant to be, even if it’s temporary. Kelsey was living there with her family while waiting for her New York State PA license, eager to officially begin her career in Dermatology. Zach was working as an Orthopedic Surgical Technician, already deep in the world of medicine himself. One right swipe later, everything changed. What started as a simple match quickly turned into long conversations, easy laughter, and a connection neither of us expected. From the very beginning, being together just felt natural like we had always been on the same team. Life didn’t slow down after that. We moved to Connecticut and built a life together over five years — navigating a global pandemic, growing in our careers, and surviving Zach’s master’s program in Cardiovascular Perfusion (yes we both survived that one!). After graduation, we knew it was time for our next adventure. Once he graduated, we knew it was time to trade in snow boots for sandals and start our next chapter in Florida. And then came Rome. On December 11, 2024, in Kelsey’s favorite place in the world, what was supposed to be a relaxed day of exploring turned into a frantic sprint to make our Colosseum tour on time. While wandering through the Colosseum and Roman Forum, Zach was secretly juggling nerves, timing, and the biggest question of his life. With the Colosseum behind us, Zach got down on one knee and turned a beautiful trip into the start of our forever. From Texas to Connecticut to Florida… and now to forever.
