Question

What about COVID 19 testing prior to leaving mexico?

Answer

To return to US: you NEED a negative COVID-19 viral test (PCR, RT-LAMP, NAT, or antigen) within 3 days of your departure flight. Website which further describe what you need: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html & https://www.alaskaair.com/content/next-level-care/covid-testing#united-states-testing. How do I get a test in Mexico? - https://www.loscabosairport.com/covid19-cabo-travel-update/ There is testing at the airport. If you do get it at the airport - allow for extra time - probably be there 4 hours before departure time. This is going to be the cheapest & easiest option and Will and Kelsey will do it this way. The only worry I have is I think it may be busy around thanksgiving. This is what we did in Jan 2021, I bet its going to be busy. Either way the site has locations of places to get a swab before you go. There is also a clinic in Todos Santos - called St Judes that has testing.

Question

What is another way to get a COVID 19 test?

Answer

Yes - use this website - they have a service that you can make an apt and meet somewhere and get a swab for $99. https://www.azova.com/mexico/concierge.html

Question

Where can I get groceries?

Answer

Mercado El Sol II is a great spot in todos santos and other places that will easily scoped out!

Question

Should I bring money?

Answer

Yes, you should bring about $20 USD in cash (small bills, 1's and 5's) because you will need to pay a toll to get out of the airport. But, then if you have a debit card there are ATMs all over Todos Santos to take out pesos. Also, a great deal of shops take credit cards.

Question

What about cell service?

Answer

Well if you got T mobile - you get free service in Mexico so that is epic. If you have verizon its more of a thing - https://www.verizon.com/support/international-travel-faqs/ Seems like you can text Travel to 4004 and then use your phone like you normally would for $5/day which is kinda a rip. I think its probably best to get it sorted so you are able to use maps and make text/calls so meet up with all the friends that will be around.

Question

What is a tope?

Answer

Well a tope is a speed bump, that may suddenly appear almost out of nowhere and is like beer cans with concrete poured on them, so keep ur eyes peeled!

Question

Do I need a COVID test to get it to Mexico?

Answer

For all the days along the way
