Block Island
This is a great place for a day trip with multiple ferry launch points. Once on the Island, head over to Ballards Beach for a cocktail and beautiful blue waters.
Cape Cod
Cape Cod is quintessential New England. Great beaches, delicious seafood, and at the very top, Provincetown. From the Cape, you can take a ferry out to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard.
Newport
Things to do in Newport: Tennis Hall of Fame Cliff Walk (check out all the mansions you wish you lived in) Go to the beach Lots of seaside bars/restaurants/shopping.
Martha's Vineyard
Martha's Vineyard is a beautiful seaport island. Typically not a day trip as you have to take a ferry to get there.

Beaches in RI
There are a variety of beaches in RI. Some town beaches charge for parking and a per person entry fee. Other beaches just for parking and some have street parking. One of the hidden gems in RI, are our small quant beaches. If you are going to plan a beach day, always have a backup plan in case weather does not cooperate.

Who doesn't want to see where a dynasty lives? Also, lots of shopping and restaurants as well.
Boston
Head over to the Prudential center, Yawkey Way, take a duck tour, get some good eats at Faneuil Hall.
Federal Hill
Historic Italian section of RI with lots of restaurant options.
White Mountains
Head up north, for beautiful scenery and fun mountain towns.
