How We Met

Depending on who you ask, the story goes a little different...(lol) Tory and I have known of each other since high school but never really talked until this one instance at a Tinora state baseball game when he came up and started talking to Laura Koeppe who I was also having a conversation with at the time. Lo and behold, this is where our story starts. I remember exactly where I was when Tory first texted me and asked if I wanted to spend the summer hanging out with no intentions behind it *insert eye rolling face here* -- I should've have known... everyone else did haha Right before we went back to school, Tory said his feelings had changed and asked me what I thought. I said "wait, I thought we were just friends" There's a lot in between, but now here we are getting married!

The Engagement

The morning went as it always did -- we woke up and went out for our favorite meal, bruuunnnccchhhhh. We were talking about the day, and Tory said we should take Ziggy for a walk since I had been in Defiance for awhile over Christmas break and we hadn't taken her for a walk together in awhile. I mentioned going to the beach because it was a nice day! We went home and got ready to go. As we got to the beach we were just chatting, and Tory asked if we could walk to the right instead of the left. I honestly was thinking it seemed silly because we could only walk 1/5 of a mile before turning around because the tide is always so high that way that there is no beach to walk, but we did anyway. Now for any of y'all that have ever seen my Snapchat stories of Ziggy at the beach you know she LOOVVEEESSS the beach and loves swimming. When she darted for the water, Tory yelled at her and told her to come sit down, which was very abnormal of him. Turns out, as he was trying to propose Ziggy was just trying to have fun at the beach. Tory's voice got serious, and I instantly started crying because I thought he was fake proposing yet AGAIN (he'd 'proposed' to me at least 5 times before actually doing so). I wouldn't open my eyes because I didn't want it to be another fake proposal, but luckily for me it wasn't! When I opened my eyes Tory was down on one knee with a beautiful ring! I said YES, and my cousins came running down the beach to congratulate us and show us the pictures they had taken for us. Turns out, Tory is a mastermind of surprise plans :)
