We met on Bumble and hit it off immediately. When we met for dinner, we both barely ate our food because we couldn't stop talking. Wanting to spend more time together after dinner, we went to a Goodwill and did some thrifting where we found (arguably) the world's ugliest sweater, which we still have to this day. Still not sick of each other's company (and wanting dessert), we went to Eat'n Park and shared some grilled stickies and pie. Realizing that it was getting late, but not wanting the date to be over, we decided to go to Target and walked around until the store closed, not buying a single thing. The night ended with a very awkward handshake and we have been inseparable ever since.
Needing an escape from pandemic life, we planned a getaway weekend to Hocking Hills, Ohio. We hit the road later than we anticipated and didn't get to hike that day like we had originally planned, so Scott suggested we wake up early to beat the crowd at a popular hiking destination (which sounded slightly suspicious to Kelsey.) After waking up in the chilly fall morning of their campsite and making their way to the first stop of the day, Scott found that the proposal spot he had initially envisioned would be too crowded, so we continued hiking along the breathtaking fairy tale gorge. Further into the hike, we came across a natural tunnel down a set of carved stone stairs leading through the cliffs, in which Scott would disappear into the dark. Kelsey, not wanting to stroll into a dark tunnel alone, called out for Scott, only to have him emerge holding an open velvet ring box, and the rest lead up to this event you've been invited to!
