Maid of Honor
Our story started in fourth grade when Brianne brought homework to me on a day I stayed home sick from school. From that day forward, we were inseparable as we became part of each others families, spent time together every day, had sleepovers every weekend and even formed our own “secret” best friend club with a buried time capsule and an oath sealed with a pinky swear! While time has passed and each of us has changed as we've grown, our friendship has continued to mature and grow with us. So many of my amazing childhood and adult memories involve Brianne and after leaving Pinehurst, we somehow still managed to be neighbours in the New West End! I can't wait for you all to meet the girl with endless jokes, sage advice and who has always managed to light the path behind her.
Maid of Honor
It all started when our property manager told Taylor that another first year dental student would be living next door! After a "little" mutual Facebook creeping, plans were made to walk together to our first day of school. From that moment it felt like we had been friends forever, and quickly became "Taylor and Kelsey”, rarely being seen anywhere without the other. Throughout the trials and tribulations of dental school we managed to keep each other sane, shed a few tears and a whole lot of laughs, and to come out on the other side alive (barely) and together. Although our friendship is now “long-distance", my heart is so happy that our relationship has remained healthy and strong. It is my honour to introduce you to this amazing human who I’m so pleased to call my best friend!
Bridesmaid
Thanks to her relationship with little Timmy Tucker I was introduced to Jewel, who has become one of my best friends over the past few years. As the cutest member of our go-to quintet, we have shared so many incredible memories together and are always scheming and making plans to create new ones! Jewel is a wonderful friend, a great listener, the party planning queen, rabbit mom extraordinaire, karaoke superstar, and the person with the most secret talents of anyone I know. I am thrilled that she is part of our special day and that you will have the opportunity to know her too!
Bridesmaid
It seems like I have known Ashley for pretty much my whole life. From girl guides to soccer summers, attending each other's middle school dances, graduating high school and dropping each other off at university, we have always been a part of each other's lives and activities. Most importantly we have always made a point to celebrate each other's achievements together. We have been shushed by our parents while giggling at sleepovers way more times than I can count. We grew up as a part of each other's families, always feeling at home with each other no matter how much time passed between visits. Ashley is a such a smart person with an amazing soul, a caring and compassionate nurse and an amazing mother to her sweet boy Wesley. I am so glad that she will be here to celebrate today with us!
Best Man
I met Ben when we were both five and still learning how to skate and tie our shoes. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories through hockey and our lives. One of our proudest moments together was winning the Don Johnson Cup in St. John’s Newfoundland with our Junior hockey team…what a trip that was! Other stand out memories include rock concerts together such as AC/DC, Nickelback & Metallica, and many others. If you’re ever looking for Ben at a concert, just look for the guy in the front row with his shirt off. Always up for a good time, Ben gets along with almost every person he’s ever met and has one of the most likeable personalities you’ll ever encounter! He has been an incredibly loyal friend to me for my entire life and I am so happy to have him with me on this special day.
Best Man
As the younger of the Tucker siblings, I was also introduced to Tim early on in our hockey careers. Oddly enough, we not only shared a love for hockey, but we both were also goalies as well. Now that we’re old and washed up, we still occasionally play hockey together, but now as the new forward force to be reckoned with. Over the years, Tim and I have shared countless memories such as our first jobs at Spencer’s Memorial Home snacking on turkey and peach juice, numerous hockey games and frequent road trips. Tim is one of the most selfless people I know and he is always willing to lend a helping hand. It is only fitting that Tim recently landed his dream job as a firefighter and got engaged to an amazing girl and a great friend of ours, Jewel – I am so proud of who he has become!
Groomsman
Keegan is not only my future brother-in-law, but also a great friend. He and his parents have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable with their family since the moment that I met all of them. Keegan and Kelsey are incredibly close and because of that, they are never far from each other, whether it was going to Mount A together, moving in with each other in Halifax or more frequently since he’s moved to Ottawa, their regular Facetime calls. Through their close relationship, I have gotten to spend a lot of time with Keegan and gotten to know him well; he is funny, smart, hardworking and mature beyond his years. After growing up as an only child, I am so excited to gain an incredible little (but very tall) brother.
Groomsman
Yet another friendship developed through a shared passion for hockey, James and I first met as members of the Moncton Mighty Hawks at the young age of 7. Nowadays, James spends most of his time traveling the world and is always up for an adventure. Despite the fact that he no longer lives on the East coast, James continues to be great friend. He remains in touch regularly though our favourite form of communication – NHL ’19 for x-box. Not only is James an amazing friend, but he also has a quick-witted humour, is a hilarious story teller and always keeps us laughing.
Ring Barker
We couldn't have our wedding without the "other" love of our lives being a part of the big day. Our fluffy little Finny will walk down the aisle with us as our ring barker but BEWARE, he just might lick your faces on the way by.
