FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The bride will walk down the aisle at 5:30pm. Please arrive at the Cedar Room no later than 5pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is formal. Please look under the "schedule tab" for a list of options for each event on wedding weekend. The link below is the vision the bride and groom have for their wedding. Charleston can be humid and hot in the summertime. The wedding will take place indoors. https://pin.it/5ZTGIpC3M

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking at the Cedar Room is available for free on weekends. There will be shuttles provided to and from the wedding. Please see the Travel section for more information.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this is a kid-free event. We want parents to have a night off to celebrate with the bride and groom!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! please let the bride and groom know about food allergies/restrictions when you RSVP.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Kelsey and Ryan have provided plus ones to the couples we selected. While we love to party with all, this is a pre-selected event and the invitation will show if you have a plus one.

Question

Advice on where to stay?

Answer

The Cedar Room is located on the east side of Charleston, bordering Mount Pleasant. The bride and groom believe that hotels in Mount Pleasant are quieter, spacious, free parking, with a fraction of the price of a hotel in Charleston. If staying in Mount Pleasant, the drive to the Cedar room is approximately 5 minutes and directly across the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.

Question

What about Charleston Airbnb/ VRBO?

Answer

Charleston has unique airbnb laws that only allow short term rentals in specific areas (Cannonburough Elliotborough). This area is known for the party scene and can be quite loud during the night time. Airbnb/ VRBO is a great option if this is what you are going for.

Question

Is this ceremony unplugged?

Answer

YES! Please keep your phones off and in your pockets and purses. We will have professional photographers and videographers capturing this special day. Guest can film and take snapshots anytime after the ceremony.
