Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us. We are thankful for each and every one of you!

Marissa Campos

Maid of Honor

I met Marissa just a week before starting medical school in the fall of 2021. We connected through a forum created for incoming students, and I was immediately drawn to her post. We exchanged numbers, and it didn’t take long for us to become best friends. Throughout the program, we've shared every class together and countless moments outside of the classroom—shopping trips, discovering new restaurants, and relaxing girls’ nights in with mocktails, where we’d chat about everything under the sun. Marissa is incredibly special to me, not just because of the bond we’ve built, but because we share so many of the same passions and interests. I’m so grateful for the friendship we’ve created, and I couldn’t imagine this journey without her by my side.

Elizabeth Gaugier

Maid of Honor

Liz and I met in the fall of 2017, during our freshman year at Grand Valley State University, through a mutual friend. It didn’t take long for us to become inseparable. Freshman year was filled with weekends of fun adventures and weekday dinners in the campus dining halls. By sophomore year, we became roommates, a bond that lasted through my graduation in 2021. Those years are some of the most unforgettable of my life. Some of my favorite memories with Liz include hours spent in each others rooms chatting about life, going to the gym together, and indulging in our shared love for sushi and Hancock—our go-to food at the time. Liz has always been, and will forever be, my ride or die. I am beyond grateful for the friendship we’ve built and the unwavering support she’s always given me.

Carter Eiden

Best Man

Carter has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We grew up playing hockey together, spending countless hours on the ice and making just as many memories off of it. If there’s one thing about Carter, it’s that he’s always up for anything—never one to say “no” to a spontaneous adventure, no matter how crazy the idea. From road trips to last-minute plans that turned into the best nights, he’s been by my side through it all. I couldn’t imagine this day without him standing next to me, just like he always has.

Sofia Ramono

Bridesmaid

Sofia and I met during our first trimester of medical school in our spine and extremities anatomy lab. As part of the same lab group, we spent a lot of time together, and what better way to truly get to know someone than in a cadaver lab! Sofia is the kindest, most genuine friend I know—she’s the type of person everyone needs in their life. Some of my favorite memories with Sofia include wine nights with charcuterie boards, sunny days by the pool where we’d catch up on life, and celebrating milestones throughout our grad program. Sofia is truly a gift in my life, and I can’t imagine my wedding day—or any day—without her by my side. Her friendship and support mean the world to me, and I feel so incredibly blessed to have her not just through this journey, but for life.

Elise Gillman

Bridesmaid

Elise and I have known of each other since grade school, but it wasn’t until our sophomore year at Grand Valley State University that we truly became close. At the time, her living situation wasn’t working out, and we happened to have an extra room in our apartment of four. I’m forever grateful she moved in with us, as that was the start of our beautiful friendship. Over the years in college, some of my favorite memories with Elise include girls' nights in, fun nights out on the town, spontaneous dance parties, and card games nights. Since graduation, our bond has only grown stronger, and I cherish every double date and life update we share. I was honored to stand by her side on the biggest day of your life, and I am beyond grateful that she will be standing by mine.

Meaghan Johnson

Bridesmaid

Meaghan and I have been best friends since middle school—sixth grade, to be exact! I’m so grateful we decided to become friends all those years ago, as it’s been a friendship that has stood the test of time. We did everything together—literally everything. We survived high school, navigated a long-distance friendship during college, and now, we’re fortunate to live just an hour apart. Some of my favorite memories with Meaghan include the countless concerts we've attended, our dinner date nights where we’d dress up and have the best time, and, of course, wedding planning together, which has truly been a highlight. I feel so blessed to stand by her side at her wedding this April, and I’m equally honored to have her standing by mine.

Lauren Lee

Bridesmaid

Lauren and I are lucky not only to be family, but to have a bond that feels like sisterhood. We've been close our entire lives, always there for each other through every stage—whether it was dance recitals, school events, holidays, or simply sharing everything about one another. As little girls, we dreamed of the day we’d stand by each other in each other’s weddings, and now that dream is becoming a reality. There are countless memories we’ve created together, but some of my favorites include our yearly fashion shows when we were younger, endless sleepovers, and our special little girl dates when we both lived in Grand Rapids. I am beyond blessed to have Lauren not just as a cousin, but as a lifelong friend who has been by my side through everything.

Nadine Barber

Bridesmaid

Nadine and I are about to become sister-in-laws, and I couldn't be more excited to officially have her as a sister. We met just a few months after Remy and I started dating, and I’ve been so grateful to have her in my life ever since. Nadine is kind, strong, and beautiful, and I consider myself lucky to call her both a sister and a friend. Some of my favorite memories with her include our annual Lessard family summer vacations, wedding dress shopping together, and our shared love for all things holistic. Whether we’re talking life, wellness, or simply enjoying each other’s company, I always cherish our time together. I am truly honored to have her by my side on this special day and as a part of our journey ahead.

Steve Bentley

Groomsman

Steve and I have known each other since high school, but it wasn’t until college that we really became friends. We ended up living together for over three years, and during that time, we made a ton of great memories—whether it was hanging out, golfing during the summers, or just laughing at the dumbest things. Steve is one of the funniest guys I know, always keeping things light and making sure there’s never a dull moment. I’m grateful for his friendship and all the good times we’ve had, and I couldn’t be happier to have him standing by my side on this big day.

Jake Brooks

Groomsman

Jake and I go way back to our high school days, where we first got to know each other on the bus. It wasn’t until our freshman year of college, though, that we became really close—I spent almost every single day hanging out in his dorm room, and from there, our friendship took off. By senior year, we were living together, making even more great memories. Whether it was golfing together or just hanging out, Jake has always been someone I could count on for a good time and plenty of laughs. I’m lucky to have him as a friend, and I’m grateful to have him by my side on this special day.

Blake Heier

Groomsman

Blake was the first friend I made when I transferred school districts freshman year, and from day one, he made the transition easy. We met during summer hockey workouts, and it didn’t take long for us to hit it off. From countless hours on the ice to spending summer days out on the lake at his place, we built a friendship that has lasted ever since. Blake has always been a great friend—someone who’s up for anything and always brings good energy. I’m thankful for all the memories we’ve made over the years and even more grateful to have him standing with me on this big day.

Alec Kussro

Groomsman

I met Alec a few months after Kelsey and I started dating, and we quickly connected over our shared love for sports. Whether it’s spending time together on Lake Leelanau or going on double dates with him and Sabrina, it’s always a great time when Alec is around. He’s the kind of guy who’s easy to get along with, and I’ve been lucky to get to know him over the years. I couldn’t be more excited to officially call him family, and I’m grateful to have him by my side on this special day.

Clint Barber

Groomsman

I’ve known Clint since I was 10 years old, and for the past nine years, I’ve been lucky to call him family. He’s one of the most easygoing and fun people to be around—always bringing a laid-back vibe and plenty of laughs. Beyond that, he’s a great dad, a loving husband, and an incredible friend. I’ve always looked up to him, and I’m grateful for the bond we share. Having him be part of this day means a lot, and I couldn’t ask for a better brother-in-law to stand by my side.
