COVID-19 UPDATE

As of April 13th we are restricted to 150 guests. Our venue is completely outdoors so we hope that gives everyone some peace of mind. Please bring masks and wear as needed. The Providence Airport has free voluntary rapid COVID testing at baggage claim if you are flying in and want an easy option to get tested coming into town but it is not required. Dancing will be allowed - yay! We are very hopeful to celebrate with all of our loved ones, but if the state restricts us to an even smaller guest list, we will need to make adjustments to our guest list and send out some virtual invites. We encourage everyone to make refundable arrangements for accommodations and check back regularly for more updates. Thank you for understanding and we hope to see you all in person in May!

How We Met

January 2018

We met through a mutual friend during Paul's time in Newport. Paul's friend and classmate actually lived in Kelsey's building. Kelsey hosted a game night one evening with friends from the building, and they asked if they could bring some of their friends. Paul was one of them and we had an instant connection! We spent the night playing several (very competitive) rounds of What Do You Meme and all ended up going to a local Irish pub afterwards for the first of many rounds of darts. A few nights later Paul invited Kelsey to a Super Bowl party at his place where the connection grew, and then about a week later Paul asked Kelsey out to dinner and the rest is history!

The Proposal

August 16, 2020

Paul had booked a fairly last minute trip up to Newport for a long weekend in August. We spent the first day of his trip spending time with Kelsey's family and Paul went golfing with her dad. She later found out that is when he asked Dac for her hand in marriage! A few days later we were having a lazy morning due to the rain outside and were watching movies and enjoying each others company - just being very us! Next thing I knew, Paul was down on one knee telling me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. We celebrated by playing more games (this time Monopoly - which also became very competitive) with friends and then enjoying a lovely dinner together at the location (which we didn't know at the time) would become our wedding venue!
