It all started with the question... “would breakfast for dinner bring that smile out?” This of course was asked on the Hinge dating app because well, 2018. Little did Nathan know that Kelsey was a lover of all food but particularly passionate about pancakes. She was intrigued and shortly after they met Nathan swept her off her feet by planning elaborate weekly surprises and checking items off of Kelsey’s summer bucket list that included “try to like country music”, “go to a reggae festival” and “get on stage somewhere”. Little did he know, these efforts were unnecessary as she had already proclaimed to her friends after a mere four dates that “this was the man she would marry”. Little did she know, he had plans to surprise her forever. She made him want to be better, do better and squeeze the most out of life by her side. Three years later they still have not had breakfast for dinner but they have traveled the world, danced their way through every genre of music, conquered countless cities, challenged each other to achieve their dreams (individually and together) and continuously make the bad better and the good great.
On their grandest adventure, Nathan shocked Kelsey with the surprise of her life. Proposing on top of a breathtaking view in Oia, Greece while wearing a flamingo shirt and converse sneakers as that was all his wardrobe consisted of following a lost luggage debacle. The day was picture perfect and they started their engagement by breaking plates and Greek dancing in the streets with locals. That was until their wallets were stolen... Despite a trip where so many travel disasters occurred it was the best trip either of them have ever had as they did it together. They can’t wait for forever and look forward to future travels as they now know to pack valuables, cash and extra clothing in their carry on luggage ;) They continue to remind each other daily that what they have is not normal and that couples don’t spend two hours a day staring into their partner’s eyes but they wouldn’t have it any other way. They were exactly what the other needed and wanted but never believed was actually out there.
