During early summer, the weather should be 60-65 degrees during the day but will still be chilly at night in the mountains. There is always the chance for rain, so please be sure to bring a jacket to the ceremony. Because Colorado has a mind of it's own, there is always a slim chance of snow showers in May as well.
We are planning on an outdoor ceremony, but there is an indoor back-up location in the event of inclement weather.
Breckenridge and our venue sit at around 10,000 ft above sea level. About 25% of people feel some effects of staying at altitude (headache, nausea, fatigue, trouble sleeping), Please, drink extra water, avoid alcohol/salty foods/caffeine and strenuous activity the first full day you're here. It takes about 24-36 hours to acclimate to the elevation. If you feel you may be susceptible, we recommend staying in Denver (5280 ft) for one night before driving up to the mountains or speak to your doctor about a prescription medication to prevent altitude sickness. OTC meds (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc) should help with mild cases of altitude sickness.
