Maid of Honor
Lyss and I met in first grade. I thought she was weird because she had pink-rimmed glasses and slept during recess. I still think she's weird, but she's my very best friend in the world, my favorite travel buddy, and now we're just weird together. I couldn't imagine a life without her by my side.
Matron of Honor
Mally and I "made chemistry in biology" and she is the only reason I passed bio lab at Emporia State. Mal is the kindest, most gentle soul you will ever meet and has always been the caretaker of our group. We talk almost every morning, and those polos about life, love, family, and everything in between are truly what get me through the day. Mally is the epitome of a best friend.
Bridesmaid
I met Krystyna in preschool. I asked her to help me put on my pink mittens and she said, "Sure! Wanna be friends?" and we've been best friends ever since. We survived the awkward middle school days with bad haircuts (Krys) and braces (me). Her favorite nickname is Beav- ask her about it!
Bridesmaid
I can't pinpoint the exact time that Kristen and I became friends- it happened sometime in high school and she just became such a huge part of my life that I can't remember her ever not being my best friend. Wherever I was there was Kristen, and wherever Kristen was there I was. Kristen came to visit me in Peru and that is one of the biggest blessings of my life. Flor y Fifi para siempre.
Bridesmaid
Christy and I ended up in the same grad school program, and we both friend-stalked each other for the first year. I thought she was way too cool to be my friend but then I saw her get down on some chicken wings and I just knew. Christy is the type of friend every woman deserves to have- she makes me feel seen, heard, cared for, and loved. I never thought I'd meet my ride or die in my late 20s, but I'm so lucky I found her.
Bridesmaid
I met Abbs at Emporia State. We were in the same sorority, but our friendship didn't blossom until after we graduated. We always say that the only complaint about our friendship is that we didn't become friends sooner. Abbs has the biggest heart and she always, always shows up for the people she loves. To be loved by Abby is one of the greatest honors of my life.
Bridesmaid
I knew Cindy and I were going to be friends when she made a joke in one of our business school classes- "Alexis? More like a Chevy." Cindy scored a teacher's parking lot (TPL) pass and picked me up every morning for class- we even took a shot in the TPL before class on the last day of the semester. Cindy is so thoughtful, as loyal as they come, and will have the whole room in a fit of laughter with her antics.
Bridesmaid
I've known Danna since middle school, but our friendship was a slow burn and we didn't grow close until we were adults. Now, I can't imagine going through the day without hearing some crazy work story (she's a high school counselor), knowing what she bought on Walmart+, or talking about some random person from high school. Danna is as funny as she is kind, as smart as she is goofy, and as loving as she is supportive. I'm grateful that life brought us together and feel very lucky to be her friend.
Officiant
Lauren and Mario have known each other for 20 years and have lots of history. Kelsey and Lauren have known each other for much less time, but Kelsey was immediately drawn to her. Lauren is one of the most cheerful people we know- when Lauren is around everyone is happy, laughing, and having fun. We both look up to her and respect her so much and we're lucky we get to be part of her life.
Best Man
Michael is my brother from the same mother. He is the hardest working person I have ever seen in my life. He is not only my best man but also my hero.
Best Man
Benjamin is my son. He is not only smarter than I am but also more handsome, too. It is truly a privilege to be his father. I am so proud of the man he is today and the man he will become in the future. He is my best man but also my best friend.
Groomsman
Mike, aka Ben, is one of the best people I know. Through all the years we've known each other with our group of friends, we are the only 2 who still watch wrestling (YEAHHHH!) and fulfilled a lifelong dream last year by going to Wrestlemania together in Philadelphia. A memory I will never forget. He has always been one of my best friends, but he is an even better father, husband and coach. We are brothers like the NWO, 4 life!
Groomsman
Jeff is like my other big brother. I met him when I first moved to Pasadena as he lived right down the street from me. We have been through a lot throughout the years and he is honestly one of the reasons I have the life I have today. He has bailed me out of trouble more times then I can remember (but probably got me into that trouble to begin with). He is never short of charisma and works his ass off for his wife and 2 daughters. I don't trust many people in this world but he is definitely one of them.
Groomsman
Chris is what I call the backbone of our friend group. He is a person who would do anything for his friends and family. He has busted his ass to provide for his family and give them the amazing life his wife and 3 boys have. He is a great (and long) story teller and I am proud of the man he has become over the years. I think of him in the highest regard because he has done things for me that no one else has and I will never forget his kindness to me and my family. When my Cowboys lose he isn't far behind trolling me but it's always in good fun.
Groomsman
Eric is one of my oldest friends in this group and one who I have probably had the most fun with. He is one of the funniest people I've ever met in my life. From morning rides being late to high school, to where we are now, any time we are together it is a great time, and I am proud of the person he has become. The world would be better if there were more people like Eric.
Groomsman
Ryan is one of my oldest friends and we were roommates for 5 years. He is one of the smartest and most noble people I've ever met. He recently got married to his wife and I couldn't be more happy for him. He once told me while he was drunk he would "charge the gates of hell with me" and I feel the exact same way. I miss the days when we were roommates but those helped shape me into the man I am today and I am excited for both of our futures.
Groomsman
Kevin is also one of my oldest friends. He is one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. I first met him playing rec league basketball as his big ass ran into me while I took a charge from him (this man was trying to run through me!) We have always had great times together as we always had fun no matter what (Gorilla & Zizlak production). He is a successful business owner with his wife and a father to 2 beautiful twins. He is nicknamed Gorilla because he is a wild human being but in all seriousness I am happy we've been friends for so long and honored he will be in my wedding.
Groomsman
Austin is an amazing friend. We were always together in our high school years and there was never a dull moment. A veteran of the Army, he is someone who I look up to. He's always been confident in anything he does and that's something I've always admired. He has created a great life with his wife and 2 sons and is a true family man. He deserves and has earned all of the success he has in life.
