Des Moines' Downtown Farmers’ Market
The market is open Saturdays from 7:00am to 12:00pm in the Downtown Des Moines’ Historic Court District. Kyle and I love to start off at our favorite coffee vendors, then grab a savory (Kyle) and sweet (Kelsey) breakfast treat, and then take our time exploring the market. It is a large market and can take up to a couple hours depending on how thoroughly you want to explore.
Big Grove Brewery & Taproom
A local favorite with great craft beers, relaxed atmosphere, and spacious a patio. A perfect spot to grab a drink and enjoy good food outside.
Lua Brewing
A Des Moines favorite known for craft beer and delicious food. Their smash burger is a must-try and they have a small but cute patio.
Barn Town Brewing
Barn Town has beer, tasty bites, and a fun, rustic vibe. We especially appreciate their crab rangoon chicken sandwich, sour beers, and skillet cookie.
Early Bird West Des Moines
You can't come to the Des Moines metro without doing brunch. There are so many amazing spots in the area, but we can't pass up the orange booziest at Early Bird.
Jordan Creek Mall
A popular shopping and dining destination with a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and a scenic walking path around the lake.
Wasabi Waukee

Rube's Steakhouse - Waukee
Group-friendly steak house where you select your cut of meat and grill it yourself on a charcoal grill or an indoor pit. This is located super close to the wedding/reception location.
