Kelsey and Kate met through an online dating website in the summer of 2018. Our first date consisted of dinner, conversation and entertainment, and lasted almost 8 hours! From there, we saw each other consistently and quickly realized we were on to something real. From job changes together, relocating together, expanding our family with two fur babies together, we truly discovered what love is, and how we want nothing more than to continue our journey together, forever. Through the challenges that have consumed 2020 in the wake of COVID19, we have worked out a virtual wedding to celebrate our love while remaining safe.
In the winter of 2020, we ventured to our "happy place", which is a cabin in Broken Bow, OK. With the help of two very good friends, Kelsey surprised Kate after dinner when returning to the cabin. There were flowers, candles and the words "Marry Me" illuminating the room. Kelsey then read a book that our dog, Kona, wrote detailing how she found her forever home. In order to solidify the forever home, Kelsey got down on her knee and asked Kate to marry her - and DUH! Kate said yes.
