What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. We're excited for everyone to dress up, feel special and celebrate the day with us! What does cocktail attire actually mean (to us anyway)? Gentlemen, you're welcome to wear any color suit and tie that you feel your best in. Fun socks are encouraged. Ladies, feel free to wear any length dress that you'll feel comfortable dancing the night away in. Long, midi, knee-length, whatever you prefer. Prints or solids, bright colors or neutrals, you choose! Please note that if the weather is nice, cocktail hour will be held outside on the patio/lawn so you may want to consider grass appropriate shoes. :) Please don't stress about what to wear, we know you'll all look gorgeous no matter the 'fit you decide on.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

As much as we love all your kiddos, we unfortunately cannot accommodate children at our wedding. We hope you all can enjoy a parents' night out and still partake in all the celebrations!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your save the date/wedding invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

Is there any transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, we'll be providing transportation from/back to our two hotel options: Rod 'N' Reel and The Inn at Herrington Harbour. Provided transportation will be as follows: 1. From Rod 'N' Reel and the Inn at Herrington Harbour to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony (Shuttles will arrive at both hotels at 3:15pm to start loading. The shuttle for Rod 'N' Reel will be located right in front of the hotel entrance. The shuttle for the Inn at Herrington will be outside Ketch 22/near the pool entrance. Please be outside and ready to get on the shuttle by 3:20pm at the latest as all shuttles will be departing promptly at 3:30pm.) 2. From Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church to Herrington on the Bay for cocktail hour and the reception (Shuttles will be available outside the church after the mass has ended. They will plan to depart at 5:30pm and will be going to Herrington on the Bay.) 3. From Herrington on the Bay back to the Inn at Herrington Harbour and Rod 'N' Reel at the end of the evening (Shuttles will be available outside the reception space at the end of the wedding. They will all stop first at the Inn at Herrington Harbour and then stop at Rod 'N' Reel for final drop off.) PLEASE NOTE: Uber & Lyft are NOT readily available options in the area, so please keep this in mind when considering transportation.

Is there parking at the church and reception venues?

Answer

Yes, there are parking lots at both the church and the reception venues. Vehicles can stay overnight at the Herrington on the Bay (reception venue) parking lot if needed. All vehicles will just need to be picked up the following morning as there is another wedding on Saturday. PLEASE NOTE: Uber & Lyft are NOT readily available options in the area, so please keep this in mind when considering transportation.

What's for dinner?

For dinner, we'll be serving the following: Starters - Focaccia Served with herbed olive oil - A Seasonal Market Garden Salad Crisp greens & seasonal, farm fresh vegetables tossed in a seasonal vinaigrette Main Course (duet plated style dinner) - Chef Carved Flank Steak Grilled and rolled in herbs and served with chimichurri sauce available on the table - Cod Beurre Blanc Delicate roasted cod loin topped with a classic citrus butter sauce - Seasonal Vegetable Medley Farmers market dictated seasonal roasted vegetable medley - Roasted Red Potatoes Red potatoes tossed with arugula oil, chopped herbs & spices

What if I have a dietary restriction?

We are more than happy to do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions so that you can enjoy the food during the evening. Please respond when you RSVP on the website with details about your restriction. Or feel free to reach out to me (Kelsey) directly at 410.409.1484.

Is there an after party?

Answer

We are not hosting an after party, but for those staying at Rod 'N' Reel Resort there is a bar and casino (slots only) open until 2:00am.
