WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

First Date: Kumo Japanese Steakhouse in the beloved Stony Brook NY. Josh picked me up at my house promptly on time. We were both a little nervous- however, once we started talking, it was smooth sailing from there! We ended the date with Ice cream from our favorite spot :) Meet the parents: Josh first met my parents at Honu in Huntington. It was a delicious meal and good times shared by all! When I first met Josh's parents, his dad made lamb chops... and if you know me- I don't eat meat besides chicken! I suffered through eating lamb chops to be polite and make a good first impression. I do have to admit, they were the only and the best lamb chops I EVER had. And, I will most likely never eat them again unless Alex makes them. First Trip: Our first big trip together was to the Dominican Republic. Josh's aunt and uncle got married at the resort a few years prior so we knew it would be a blast! We had the most gorgeous room, the yummiest food, and the loveliest time together. Safe to say, it was really hard leaving paradise! Move to Tampa: We decided we wanted to move in together and try being independent adults. When we realized how expensive New York is, we openly looked for other opportunities. After several interviews and a few job offers, we began to search on where WE wanted to live. The beautiful scenery, low living costs, and desired weather brought us to FLORIDA. Right after July 4th 2018, we took a long 1,000 mile road trip to Tampa, Fl. We had no expectations of staying, but more or less tried to picture ourselves living there. A week later, we signed a lease on our very first apartment together and lived there for our lease term and then some! The Proposal: Josh isn't so keen when it comes to holding a secret- so I kinda had an idea it was coming. HOWEVER - he totally caught me off guard when he had our puppy Gia walk up to me with a white dress on. When I confusingly looked up at him, he was down on one knee with a ring!!!
