When you land on St. Thomas, after collecting your bags, there will be taxis waiting outside. Tell them you'd like to get to the Red Hook Ferry. The ride will cost $15 and will take 30-40 min as the ferry is on the opposite end of the island from the airport. Once in Red Hook, you will purchase a ferry ticket for $7, baggage is extra (2-3$) the ferry ride is about 15 min to St. John! WELCOME!
We have arranged shuttles to take everyone to the ceremony location and then after to the reception at a bar called Dr!nk. Shuttles will be departing from "the gravel lot" at 315 and another at 330. The taxi ride will be about 10 minutes. When you arrive there will be drinks to be had and then follow the arrows up a *very short* trail to Peace Hill!
We recommend packing light! You'll hopefully be, and weather permitting, spending plenty of time on the beach! A couple of your favorite swimsuits, coverups for when in town post beach (covering up is the law when wandering in town), something light weight and nice for the ceremony. A reusable water bottle for staying hydrated and to keep the plastic impact to a minimum. **Also we would like to encourage you to shop for reef-safe sunscreen and a more eco friendly bug spray than the deet-heavy alternative. St. John is 75% national park, and it is also an Earth Day wedding, so obviously it is important to us to respect our Island and our beautiful beaches.
St. John is within the United States, so you will not require a passport to get here. Once here however, if you want to take a day trip by boat over to one of the BVIs, like Jost Van Dyke, home of White Bay and bars like The Soggy Dollar Bar, you will need a current Passport.
