We're Getting Married!

We first met while playing junior high basketball against each other. It was nothing more than a friendly rivalry, one which Janelle won much more than Kelsey.

We became friends in 2011 and were in the "talking stage" for two years. Eventually, the two couldn't deny that there was something special between the two of them. Kelsey asked Janelle to officially be her girlfriend a few months before they graduated high school.

We spent the first 6 months dating in the same county, before going off to separate colleges and doing long distance. Janelle would come down to Miami University to visit Kelsey as much as she could. We first lived together during the summer of 2016 in Harrisburg, PA so Kelsey could do a summer internship. Janelle got her first full-time job in Oxford and spent Kelsey's senior year of college together. We then moved to Tampa, Florida in 2017 together for Kelsey's grad school program. Kelsey continued to drag Janelle across the country, moving them to Lansing, Michigan in 2019 and Columbus, Ohio in 2020. In that time, we adopted two rescue dogs, Google & Cocoa and have the cutest family of four. In March of 2022, we bought a house together in Columbus.

Kelsey and Janelle decided they wanted to finally tie the knot. On a trip to Denver, Kelsey planned a trip to Roxborough State Park and popped the question in the mountains.

We are getting married and having our reception at Sylvania Country Club in Sylvania, Ohio! After touring 10 different venues in the greater Toledo area, SCC stood out to us with its beautiful views, gorgeous patio, and elegant ballroom. We knew there was no better place for us to tie the knot.
