Suggested Accommodations

We suggest staying in Wailea or Kihei to make it easy to travel to/from the wedding and related events. Wailea accommodations are on the pricier side, whereas Kihei is more affordable. Almost all of the Wailea resorts have a free shuttle that can take you to and from the wedding venue. We are working on trying to schedule a shuttle to/from Kihei, so we will keep you posted. The venue also has ample parking. Please note that the amount of Lyfts/Ubers can be limited on the small island of Maui.  If you prefer to stay in Wailea, you really can't go wrong with any of the resorts (Fairmont, Grand Wailea, Four Seasons (where White Lotus Season 1 was filmed!), etc.). There are also nice Airbnbs/Venmos for big groups in Wailea. The beach strip for these resorts has amazing snorkelling, a beautiful paved walking trail by the water, and Makena State Park is just south of the resorts (about a 5-10 minute drive). If you are interested in staying at one of the Wailea resorts, please send us an email with the number of guests and your price range ASAP so that we can look into room block options. If you prefer to stay in Kihei, we have always enjoyed our stays at 1 or 2 bedroom Airbnbs/VRBOs. I recommend booking a place close to Cove Beach Park as it is a central location, walkable to good restaurants, and the park itself is great. There is also a surf shop if you want to rent a board and cross the street to ride some of the best beginner waves on Maui. We do not recommend staying in Lahaina, as they are still rebuilding from the devastating fires. If you are still interested in staying in the Lahaina area, we would recommend a hotel or Airbnb in Kaanapali. Kaanapali is over an hour drive away from the wedding venue.

Travel Note

Rental Cars

Although not necessary, we recommend renting a car for your stay so that you can explore the island, and if you are interested in doing the Road to Hana (highly recommended), you should book an AWD/4WD car. We typically find the best rental car deals through Costco Travel.

Shuttle

(Potential) Shuttle from Kihei to Wedding Venue

March 4, 2026 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

We are looking into shuttle options for our guests staying in Kihei so that they can safely get to/from the wedding venue. Our research so far appears that options are quite limited, so no guarantees that we will be able to provide one. If we are unable to book a shuttle, we will provide updates with taxi car recommendations. Almost all of the Wailea resorts have their own shuttles that can take you to/from the wedding venue.
