Getting from Halifax to Paris, France: We recommend flying into Paris via Charles de Gaulle (CDG) which is the most convenient gateway to the Champagne region. Ideally we would suggest you arrive a few days before, and explore Paris for a few days! There are typically seasonal nonstop flights from Halifax (YHZ) to Paris with WestJet in the summer months, as well as year-round one-stop options via Air Canada (through Montreal or Toronto) and other major airlines. July is peak travel season, so we suggest booking early to secure the best fares and flight times.
Train
Getting from Paris to Châlons-en-Champagne: Once in Paris, the journey to Champagne is fast, comfortable, and scenic by train. From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), you can catch a direct TGV train to Châlons-en-Champagne. The trip takes just over 1 hour 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can travel from Paris Gare de l’Est, where frequent trains depart for Châlons throughout the day. The route takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Tickets can be booked in advance through SNCF Connect, Trainline, or Rail Europe.
