Answer

The resort is located less than 10 minutes from the airport. Taxis are approximately $20. When you exit customs/baggage claim, you will see a Club Med kiosk. You can ask the Club Med representative to help get you a taxi. If you prefer prearranged transport, we have a contracted rate of $30 pp round trip. https://form.123formbuilder.com/6405179/sweeting-walker-wedding

Question

Tipping

Answer

While tipping is not required at Club Med, we leave $5 a day on the bed for the maid and tip the bartenders and waiters a few dollars here and there. This is optional and not expected, but very much appreciated by the Punta Cana staff. Change is VERY difficult to get on property. We bring plenty of $1s and $5's with us. There is no need to exchange money.

Question

What is a G.O.?

Answer

You will hear Chief of the Village, G.O., G.E., and G.M. a lot. Chief of the Village - The Hotel General Manager G.O. - The G.O.'s are the "Gentle Organizers". They are our camp counselors/instructors with trapeze, yoga, tennis, sailing, archery, shows, fitness classes, water aerobics and all the games and activities. They come from all over the world and live in the village. If you see a G.O. at the bar, offer to buy them a drink. (It's free for you, but not for them). G.E. - Gentle Employees are local residents of Punta Cana. They are waiters, house cleaners, bartenders and gardeners. They go home in the evenings. G.M. - YOU! Gentle Members are the guests of the village.
