Did you know Kelsey was on her college rowing team all four years?? Texas Rowing Center offers kayak and SUP rentals (and rowing if you want!) to enjoy Lady Bird Lake in all of her beauty! They have a great dock to launch off and you can paddle right along downtown. This is a must!!! We love to take our kayaks here on the weekend and get some sun. This rowing center has daily/hourly rentals for all of their boats - highly recommend!! Kayaks are only $15/hr for rent. DO IT!!!!!
If you're here all weekend and are not into the music festival scene... Check out natural bridge caverns! It is a really cool cave system that offers tours of the caves all day for a reasonable price. We had a lot of fun visiting this place last March. It is an hour south of Austin but definitely worth the drive!
If you like Asian Fusion food, you need to check out Loro! One of our favorite restaurants since moving to South Austin. Our fav is the chopped brisket sandwich, fried corn fritters and house made lemonade. Indoor and outdoor seating available. (Note - this place gets packed QUICK especially on the weekends).
Sushi Fan? This place is amazing!! Highly recommend reserving so you can get a seat inside which has the most immaculate vibes. The brussel sprouts are amazing and they have the cutest tea kettles ever! Parking is a pain... but worth it! This is on South Congress which is an iconic street with tons of local shops, restaurants, bars etc.
A great spot for casual hangouts with drinks and various food trucks (Tommy Want Wingy has awesome wings). Amazing vibes and food, and right across the street from our local rock climbing gym (Crux Climbing).
This is our favorite Boba Tea spot thus far, Thai Milk Tea is a must!
Favorite pizza place - highly recommend the hot honey pizza!!! Cool vibes and outdoor seating with TVs, drinks and cornhole.
